1. Turn the Bulls Out!

Since we calve in both the Spring and the Fall, the bulls are turned out to the cows twice a year. We all know large herd bulls so the equipment better be stout and the help better be paying attention (and the photographer better stay out of the way!)

2. New Hydraulic Chute

Heaven....this is heaven! The newest equipment to our place came in October as a new "Silencer" Hydraulic chute. Safety, accuracy, and efficiency have all gone up.

By the way, how do you install a chute that is EXTREMELY heavy and wider than the gates, without tipping over the new tractor and tearing out part of the pipe corral? click here

3. Historic Barn Restoration Continues

Painting the roof was the next step in the restoration of the 100 years plus McNaugton Barn on our place.

Necessary equipment...a mountain climbing harness, lots of old clothes and a good chiropractor.
